Samsung health counting steps while asleep???

Hello all,

It appeared my Samsung watch was counting steps while I was sleeping.....super weird (had about 2000 steps). So I turned it off completely and when I woke up the Samsung app on my phone had still had added steps.

I poked around and I don't have any updates....that I can find. 

I've had this watch and app for about 2 years and this has never happened. I thought maybe the watch was dying but it was turned off totally last night and the app still showed steps. 

Anyone have any ideas??

And nooooooo I don't sleep walk or pee 15 times a night lol

I noticed this too. I have no idea why. The Samsung Health app on my phone is saying I have been taking steps too but my phone is on the bedside table. And I don't wear my watch at night.

Hey there, samsung community.  I'm in uganda and my samsung phone keeps counting steps while I'm asleep as well. I keep it a meters distance but I find 7 steps and 6 steps shuffled for different days. Who uses my phone? I don't share a room.
