samsung galaxy watch 46mm over counting steps

Hello.

Can anyone help out with a problem with samsung galaxy watch over counting steps.

I have factory reset the watch.Removed and installed galaxy wearable and samsung health app. Erased personal data, changed watch faces,Updated watch to latest version. The watch itself is overcounting steps. its not adding steps from phone aswell as watch at the same time. Its just watch is over counting itself. Ive had it a year or so. The problem has started in last 6 weeks.

Same problem here with my OG Galaxy Watch 46mm. I have watch for one year, but starting from last few days, watch started to count too many steps. Even when it just lays on the desk it counts like 1000 steps every hour. I tried factory reset, and changed some settings, but nothing helps.

Same problem here. My galaxy watch 1 started overcounting steps since about a week ago. Samsung please fix this.

For me it started overcounting steps for few days, then it stopped counting steps at all. Had to send it to warranty and they replaced the motherboard. Works great now! So I think this overcounting was a hint that it will break in the near future.

Has there been any updates on this please?  I recently bought the Watch 4 and it is way overcounting steps, by like 4000 / 5000 a day i think
