Downloaded wearable app can't use it for my buds will only work with bluetooth of my fine can anyone help please

Hi there. I hope you can help . I have recently bought a set of Galaxy Buds Plus SM-R175 . I can pair them to my Samsung Galaxy S20 5G  via bluetooth and play audio through them but I cannot get the Galaxy Wearable App to manage them.  The app says they are connect on the front screen but when I tap on the buds in the app, it says "Disconnected from earbuds" and options such as Ambient Sound and Equaliser are greyed out.

 

I have tried the following:

  • Unpair and repairing the buds.
  • Doing a force stop on Wearable app and clearing the cache and data.
  • Uninstalling/reinstalling the Wearable and repairing with the buds.
  • Pairing the buds with a Samsung Galaxy tab S5E with the Galaxy wearable app installed on it.

All of the above have failed to resolve the issue. Can you please advise if there is anything else I can try or will I have to report a fault with the buds?
