Samsung Buds2 Pro - Need a case

So I bought a new e bike, 3rd ride out and realised when I got home I had lost the case, oddly smartthings has no lost, find function.

Good news I retraced my route and found the case, well two crushed pieces.

I still have both buds, assume these are junk now ?

You can get new charging cases without the buds so no the buds aren't useless

Is that from Samsung, I just had an online chat, they said it will be collected for repair, I sent a picture they still said fine, but assume i will need to pay.

It's a shame there is no way to power off the Buds, as I can use my sons case to charge.

TMT replied "Warranty void due to customer missuse, Requires - Both buds and cradle.", this was after explaining the Samsung Support and sending a picture of the case wrecked, silly as it no doubt cost Samsung the DPD collect and now return postage and no doubt some plug £ from TMT for the estimate.
All this said under the EU regs "Right of repair", I only need the case, TMT are telling me to pay £170 for buds and case.

So I tried a supposedly official replacement case off ebay for £60, looks legit though I am sure it's for the Buds Pro Gen1 as that had a smooth not rubber like tactile feel.

Left are my sons Buds2 Pro and on the Right my replacement.

So far seems I did not have to pair, just pop in the Buds and everything shows up in the Gear app.
