I have recently purchased the galaxy watch3 4g model. I have connected and chosen a mobile plan from EE and this shows on my account. I can make and receive calls fine but can only receive notifications and send messages when my watch is connected remotely to my phone (by choosing this option through the wearable app).
If i dont choose to connect remotely then my watch goes into standalone mode and I can only make and receive calls.
I am slightly confused as to why I cannot receive notifications or send messages in standalone mode when i Pay for a 4g data plan.
If i need to rely on being remotely connected to my phone then what is the purpose of paying for a date plan for my watch.
Also when my phone is off (for example the battery dies) my phone also goes into standalone mode meaning i get no notifications again or send messages.
Surely this shouldnt be happening? Any help would be great.
