My galaxy watch 4 tracks steps while on charge during the night. I've decided not to wear the watch during sleep for a few days and was surprised to see 8k steps being tracked this morning. I am attaching the pics for reference. I was in bed until 10 am today, but it tracked activity very similar to my last week's activity.
What is the fix? Does anyone face this issue?

Nope! As I mentioned, I kept in charge the whole night. I didn't wear the watch at all.

If I am wearing it, it's correct. Not tracking anything. But if I keep it for charge overnight, it's tacking weirdly 😕

Mine does this too except it adds a massive amount. I just woke up but according my watch I've walked over 35,000 steps last night. I haven't figured out a way to fix this either. I don't know my actual step count because of it.

Sadly, it seems like we are the only ones facing this! I hope Samsung will fix this soon.

I just woke up after charging my watch all night and saw that I had over 13k steps. Confirmed that it was cause of the watch by checking Samsung Health and looking at steps only counted on the phone (it showed no steps during those same hours)

I just bought the Galaxy 4 watch & yesterday was the first day I tracked my steps. I wake up this morning to realize my watch tracked 79 steps between 1:30-2:00 this morning, while I was asleep and it was on charge. I've been searching the internet today, after getting a lot of ghost jokes from my family and coworkers and ran across your post! I thought maybe it was a glitch? But it's brand new, I just activated it Wednesday night 🤷♀️
