Lost earbuds

Hey can anyone advise how I can check the last location of my missing earbuds. They are dead. No battery. I've been onto wearable but the find my earbuds button is unhighlighted and won't allow me to press

Have you tried the Smart Things app it has a Find function that the last known location might show.
Look for Device Control on the quick start panel.
