Left Earbud doesn't activate/switch on

My Galaxy Bud+ left earbud doesn't switch on when I put it in my ear.

I have to tap it several times. And a minute later after tapping it makes the "activation' sound and switches on.

The right one works perfectly and instantly.

It's really annoying and frustrating.

Is this a software issue or a hardware one? Should I return them?

make sure the proximity sensor is clean and also check the galaxy wearables app for an update for them.

Updated app and firmware, cleaned the bud, reset the buds, disconnected, and then re-connected. Still no joy.

Must be hardware I guess.

mine did the same the other day ( sort of ) I was listening to music and I went to change track and the earbud had sort of turned off. it dimmed the music and made the power on noise and then let me change song
