I recently bought galaxy watch 4 and for the life of me cannot get Google pay to work on it.. it works fine on phone.. anyone know if there's a problem with it

How to set up Google Pay on your Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Open the Google Play app on your Galaxy Watch 4.

Tap the search icon.

Speak or type Google Pay.

Tap the send/search icon.

Tap Google Pay.

Tap Install.

Tap Open.

I've done all that. It doesn't seem to be able to add card onto watch, it's fine on fone

I have exactly the same problem in the Netherlands

My bank is coupled in the google pay app on the phone but not selectabel on the watch

I'm guessing it's a global problem.. I'm in Britain and I have seen a few comments from other countries.. guess samsung need to put out a fix

Same here, UK. Payments setup error. Open case with Google support and also send log files for Samsung support. We will see...
