Gear S4 with Spatadic notification on Text/WhatsApp etc

Just thought I would post this issue I had which I have now fixed.

The issue was notifications would arrive on the phone but not always come through to the watch some delayed other would never arrive.

At this point the phone was a One plus 3 and the fix was found in the following location.

Phone settings

Notifications

Small cog top right corner

Set"On the lock screen" to "show all notification content"

Hope this may help someone with the same issue
