Gear S3 Frontier won't connect with SM-G950U

Phone and watch get paired, percentage count get to 100%  but phone stays forever on screen "setting up your phone..." and "almost there" is just blinking...

 

Phone Details:

Samsung Galaxy S8

Model No: SM-G950U

Android Version: 8.0.0

 

 

Gear S3 Details:

Samsung Gear S3 Frontier 

 

 

Phone can see watch, but will not install software.  Have cleared cache several times, but still won't load all of the software.   Took it to Best Buy to see if they could help and they were stuck as well.  Seems like it is trying to load more software.

 

When I had my watch connected to a Galaxy S7, is loaded Gear S Plugin.  However, this software is showing not available for my model of phone.

If this was my watch id suggest try resetting it and then try again. 

 

Possibly a back up and Factory Reset may help. 

 

If not then a Samsung Service Centre or Samsung Experience Store will be able to help.
