Gear Fit 2 Strap Falling Off

Hi,

Need some advice for my strap.

 

Started on hole no.4 and the strap has gradually stretched and I am now on the last hole, but the watch keeps falling off.

 

Two of my friends have had the same problem and one tried diff. straps from online, but they didnt fit together properly.

Can any one please halp :smiling-face:

Hi @Pinkylouloubell

Have you checked the packaging to see if there is a spare strap available for you to use? If not, and if the watch is less than 6 months old, I'd recommend contacting Samsung directly on 0330 726 7864 to see if you able to claim a replacement under warranty.

Its more than 6 months old and theres no spare strap.

 

I tried calling that number this morning after advice from the online support yesterday but held for over an hour 😞

 

Hence cming on here.

Sorry to hear that you've had trouble getting through to the Support Team, @Pinkylouloubell. Due to the bank holiday it may be a little bit busy at their end which is leading to increased hold times. I'd recommend trying again outside of peak hours or waiting until Tuesday onward to visit a Support Centre near you. You can find your nearest one by checking the following link, selecting 'Mobile Device > Phones, Tablets and Wearables, entering your post code and hitting the magnifying glass search symbol.

Go to Amazon or Ebay and search for "replacement bands for samsung gear fit 2". There are lots of options under $10 USD.

I just ordered this one https://www.amazon.com/OenFoto-Compatible-Replacement-Accessories-Smartwatch/dp/B07B8DCS6Z since it has a real watch clasp instead of the dodgy original band.

If only the band was the problem! One band has repeatedly fallen off. I have replaced the ban so many times it has caused minor damage to the watch and the band wont stay on the watch. Needless to say I have booked a repair appointment in Toronto tomorrow. I hope that it is fixable/under warranty. The device itself is excellent. The straps are brutally fragile. Samsung needs to step up the durability in their wearable tech. I might just have to go back to tracking my fitness info with my phone.

 

Sigh!
