GALAXY WATCH5 PRO - DISTANCE REVORDING

I walk the dogs the same journey every morning. 1.75miles, confirmed by two different sources. Yet recently my 5Pro has been recording the distance as between 1.3 and 2.2miles. It is up to date as regards operating system, all apps are up to date both both the watch and phone. I have swifched off the watch, backed it up and reset it but still getting this glaring discrepancy. Dog walks in the afternoon arent consistent as we can roam for between 3 and 5 miles. 

I am pretty sure the distance hasnt shrunk even though we have had an awful lot of rain...... Thinking of getting rid of it and getting a Garmin. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi, do you have your phone with you when you are using the watch? I believe having the phone connected and nearby can improve accuracy. Having said that I generally dont have my phone with me when doing walks and the distance seems fairly consistent. Obstacles such as buildings, trees and heavy clouds can have an affect and on Samsungs website it says metal bands can effect GPS accuracy (that was with the watch 4).
