WearablesSo this is really annoying now. For months the watch has been fine but a couple of weeks ago now I got half way through a run and the watch stopped recording. I use the watches work out app, select running (basic work out) and press start. It records for about 10 minutes and then stops. So a couple of days ago I set the screen to stary on during the run and it was fine for one run. I ran again today and again it stoped after about 2km; no record of the run at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

WearablesOver the last few weeks, I am having exactly the same problem on cycling and runs. It's unbelievably annoying and I want to through the watch in the bushes! It appears it's been going on for a few months. Does anyone have a solution?

WearablesIf you go back a couple of pages, about 2 weeks ago, TheWalker posted a reset procedure from Samsung support. It's kind of a pain, but I have had no problems since I went through the procedure. I left everything at the factory defaults except I turned off the autodetects. Hope this helps.

Wearablesthank you. I did actually get through to Samsung in the UK and they suggested the same thing. I backed up and did a factory reset and then restored. I then updated various apps but didn't update Samsung Health as worried that there is an update there that has caused the problem

WearablesI've been having this same issue for the past few weeks or so. Im not running, I do weight lifting or circuit training and sometimes I'm lucky if it even stays on for 2 minutes. I got 30 minutes in and it was fine today but 10 minutes later it has stopped itself. Please fix this.

WearablesHi I called Samsung and they took me through a factory reset. Just do a backup first and then a restore. It seems to have worked, sigh I still have an issue of the watch stopping recording my heart rate when I am cycling. I just don't think they will ever fix that problem. Good luck

WearablesCheck out a previous post by "The Walker" outlining how to reset and restore your watch. Many, including myself, have restored their watches and now everything works perfectly.

Wearables+1 for this topic, had several workouts in the last week where when finishing the workout i've discovered the watch has stopped reocrding about 10-15 minutes into the workout. Not alert or errors to explain why. The part of the workout which the watch tracked still syncs to S Health and can view on my phone but watch has mysteriusly stopped tracking a short time into it. This is not from automatic tracking, its from me asking the watch to track a walk or run. Only started in the last week.

WearablesHi, I had the same problem. I spoke to Samsung and they suggested a factory reset on the watch. Do a backup first and then go into settings on the watch and select factory reset. It didn't take long and it's ok now. Good luck.

WearablesHi Bernado,
I have just got the 46mm galaxy watch last week. But when doing a HIIT workout yesterday and a walk today the HR goes way off and then stops tracking. Is this related in any way, or does everyones HR still track when following the above resolution?

WearablesI too have same issue. Watch stops recording each time at about 1.7kms and also Bluetooth disconnects at same time and stops playing my music. This has been happening now for about 2 weeks. It's extremely frustrating.

WearablesHi there,
On Samsung advice you need to try a factory reset of the watch. Just make sure you do backup first. Mine has been ok now for several weeks

WearablesDid this get resolved at all, I'm experiencing the same problems, weight training workout turning itself off and now when I'm out cycling it doing the same.

WearablesThe procedure has worked for everyone who's done it.

WearablesDoes Samsung monitor these forums? After having my Active 2 smartwatch since april of 2020 i've had to factory reset it two times to just get basic functionality to continue to work as expected, so a bit begrudged having to do it again. I'd reccommend not taking the factory reset as a final solution to this and users continue to press Samsung via their support channels to actually investigate fix this issue as i think this thread demonstrates that this 'bug' isn't a rare or isolated problem.

WearablesThis has started happening to my watch too, has it been fixed yet?

WearablesNo Samsung hasn't fixed. Try doing a factory reset. It fixed the problem for me.

WearablesThat problem is with me too for the past 3-4 month. It was usually happening after the 1st km and it was not that much of a pain.
Yesterday my training was ruined as I was not even able to track the intervals timing. I had like 5 glitches. After 1st km, then after another minute, then after 3 minutes. I restarted the watch and it managed to record 6:30 minutes. Then I just stopped trying and it recorded the rest of my training as automatic activity for the remaining 12 minutes.
On complete other point the integration with Strava is not working correctly for months now, I usually extract GPX from SHealth, transfer it to a PC and upload it manually to Strava to get the correct results.

WearablesI spoke to the Samsung support team who said it was probably a hardware issue and I would have to send my watch back for repair. I tried to persuade them it was properly in the software and they should treat it as a bug and I also pointed them to this thread but they didn't seem very willing to listen. they are only offered for the watch to be sent for repair so I took up this offer and have sent it back. I'm pretty sure they will find nothing wrong!! but maybe if I do this and then still have the issue they might take it more seriously. Their support team is really not very good.
