I had a similar issue and spent hours on the chat to samsung one morning after a 1 hour swim of 0m. cycles and runs were crashing and not syncing. I did a full factory reset and updated phone, watch, shealth on phone and apps on watch to latest version. this seems to have resolved that problem for now but I'm not entirely convinced.
