When I click " Open on phone to activate" on google assistant on the watch, on my phone only the Google Search app opens. It doesn't show the option to activate google assistant. Help please.

Have you activated Google Assistant on your phone?
Follow the steps - https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077672/
Once you have activated Google Assistant on your phone, the activation for your watch should work.
