Galaxy watch 4 pedometer

Hey guys.

I'm having issues with the galaxy watch 4 pedometer. It doesn't work properly whilst jogging on a treadmill, I've noticed it happening since the recent update. For example I run for 30 minutes with 4930 steps and the distance only being 0.99 kilometres on the watch. Has anyone else had this issue? 

I must say it works fine when using the watch's GPS whilst running or walking outside.

This maybe helpful

Samsung Health can sense your vertical oscillations, but it cannot track distance on a treadmill since (1) you're not actually traveling, so there's nothing for the GPS sensor to do, and (2) it's best estimate of distance is your step count multiplied by your average step length

Hi Steve. Thanks for your reply. I understand what you're saying and it makes sense, however if I've run nearly 5k steps, an estimate would probably be around the 5k mark. It's way off.
