Hi @Dannyboy2018. Updates are released as and when necessary, so there may not be one available just yet. Keep an eye on the Wearables app on your phone as it will alert you to a new update once it's available to install.
Hi, Google released December patch weeks ago and Samsung still hasn't released it? An update is necessary to fix the current bugs such as
*Terrible battery life *Raise to wake being too sensative *Steps not being counted properly *Google Assistant. We are now into the 5th month of the watch and waiting.
My Partner came over to Samsung for the watch 4 and has regretted it having had regular updates with Wear OS previously.

Very sluggish heart rate measurement in continuous mode outside of the workout mode (where it magically works) Issues with very low or no deep sleep recorded... These issues are both known since the watch has been released and doesn't affect just one watch, so they should be working on updates for these issues.
