Galaxy Watch 3 and non Galaxy phone

Hi

I have a few presales questions I hope you can answer.

I'm looking into the Galaxy Watch 3 but understand that not all functions work if you do not have a Galaxy phone. But which functions (the person has a Huawei P20 Lite phone at the moment) is it that does not work?

Are the any reasons why it requires a Galaxy phone?

we can absolutely use the watch with any phone (regardless of brand)

as long as we can install Galaxy Wearable app from Google Play Store 

If we can install Samsung Health app too, the better
