Hi it doesn't have a radio receiver so you can listen over the air 

But there a pile of apps were you can listen with Wi-Fi or mobile data as long as you have a data allowance

The S8+ doesn't come with an in built radio app, though there's always the option of downloading third party radio station apps onto your phone.

actually it does have the gear ... an app is required to use it.  

-Wired Earbuds required.

There are no native samsung applications.   I still had my earbuds that came with the phone, so those work like a charm.

(actually I never expected it to work, but it does like a charm, which is handy for some ... interesting dead zones for cell service & great for music for when it will become a backup phone/device.)

Yah the Snapdragon 835 chip has FM Radio built into the chip. I recommend using NextRadio app to try it out. I tried it today and while the headphones are plugged in, it works great!
