Hi I'm having trouble with my new galaxy earbuds pro, they connect to my phone OK a samsung s22, but when I start playing music the phone turns off and restarts. Can anyone help

Have you checked that the device and all apps / software are up to date?

Yes everything is up to date, the same thing happens no matter what media source I use. I have other bluetooth buds and they work fine

I'm really stumped with this. I recently bought a pair of Galaxy Buds Pro too and they've connected fine with my Note 20 Ultra.

You shouldn't have to do this... But it maybe worth doing a full phone back up... Hard reset... Restore... Then see what happens. Might seem a drastic option unless someone else has any ideas.

If still no joy then might be worth booking yourself in a Samsung Experience store if that is possible for you.
