Galaxy 4 watch pairing with Sony Xperia difficulty

Hi everyone, I am having problems pairing a new Galaxy 4 watch with a Sony Xperia L4 phone. Seems to pair ok but keeps on dropping out with message that watch is not paired. Sometimes gets 85% through loading the software then drops out.I have tried resetting the watch & phone etc. but still have the same issue. Thanks for any replies.

Have you installed Samsung Wearable app?

Yes I have tried pairing using the app & without but after the confirmation code number is accepted a can't communicate message is received.

You have to turn on notifications in Wearable app

You have option to turn for all new apps or select them

The Wearables app will only search for a device to add but will not pair anything. I am not able to get to notifications or any kind of menu.

Sorry I have only ever paired with Samsung Phone

I have found that the Sony Xperia L4 is not compatible with the Samsung watch 4. I am now using a Samsung phone which has paired & is in use without any problems.
