Fix settings and watch faces not loading

Hi my dad got my is samsung gear 2 classic from ebay when I got the person that owned it last had all there stuff on it still so I did a factory rest on the watch one that was the watch faces stopped work and the settings look like this can someone pls tell me how to fix this as this was a surprise gift from my dad

Please install a Samsung Wearables app into a phone and pair it with the watch.

Try to change the watch face if this will sort.  Thank you ☺

That didn't work when I connect the watch to my phone it tell me to try and do an update ones it copys the file the watch try's to update get 1% when turns off and on and go back to square one. Do you have any other ideas
