I've developed a severe ear infection in my left ear since wearing these. Has anyone experienced the same? I've seen many reports of this but no action from samsung from feedback from people.

I can confirm that something is definetly going around.

Started having both ear inflammation after using buds pro, regardless regular cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and cleaning ear canals too.

Ears are inflamed, irritated, pus and dead skin also developing.

If anyone have some ideas about solution, please contact me.

Wondering to send buds pro to local regulatory for inspection/analysis. Eventually they might withdrawn product in EU area as product might be serious health concern to consumer.

Example alert rapid withdrawns when health risk detectes:

https://ec.europa.eu/safety-gate-alerts/screen/webReport#weeklyReports

Anyone interested in sending official complaint, signed with anyone concerned ? This might be more powerful than sending complains separately.

This, eventually, might be starting point to class action. Never had ear problems in the past actually, besides using other canals buds.

All started after using buds pro. Stopped to using them but ears is still inflamed. Probably will need some medications, hope hearing will not be affected in the longterm perspective.

I bet it is not about size, but rather some chemical reaction to materials used.

I found that some reddit user changed foam tips, and ear still was irritated. This may lead to reaction to metallic charging points, not foam actually.

And - I don't say that buds pro will definetly cause inflammation in your case, but reading hundreds of posts around - this forum, reddit, etc, considering own experience - definetly cause to think that there *might* be something wrong

Best Regards

Hi there,

I have the exact same issue with my Galaxy Buds Pro:

  • Inflammation of the ear canal
  • Moisture Build Up
  • Dead skin

After it healed up I used other in-ear buds with no issue. The moment I used the Galaxy Buds Pro for 20 mins I almost immediately started showing the same signs.

I regularly clean all my buds and also tried using different silicon tips with no positive results.

I don't think I will buy Galaxy Buds again to be honest after this experience and I have bought all Buds from Samsung so far...

Hi Nick,

I am glad you are bringing this to light. I just could not figure out why I all of a sudden I have leakage and pain in BOTH my ears. It started like all of you. Dry skin in the ear canal, then scabbing, now overnight it leaks onto my pillow, and drys up in my ear all day long. In the mornings it is awful. It is also incredibly frustrating. I took 10 days of antibiotics after my first visit with my primary care doctor. Nothing got better. I now have an appointment with my local ENT specialist on July 12th. I will be bringing this up to the hospital. Maybe even a lawyer.

I was traveling for work last week. Therefore, not using these headphones due to cancelling most of my calls, and miraculously my ears started to heal. Then I realized, All of this started happening after I bought my new galaxy buds pros. So, I googled it (honestly thinking it couldn't be). Now I am seeing ample evidence that this certainly is the headphones!!

This is crazy. I will most likely get rid of EVERYTHING I own that is Samsung now. It is terrible that they are ignoring this!

If we group together enough. We can do something about it! We could start a Facebook group or something. Make it known.

Hi @ and @KholaI

Same problem here guys!

I've been using my Galaxy buds pro for a few months and I have the same symptoms in my left ear. First I didn't notice that it's because of the Galaxy buds. There were just scabs of dead skin in my left ear until I started to have some kind of liquid coming out from my ear and that got my attention.

So I stopped using my buds since I couldn't use them because of my ear condition. After a few days, my ear started healing and the liquid got dried but my ear was itchy and if I touched my ear there was liquid again. So I just waited and after one week the problem solved and I got my ear back and that meant I could start using the buds again. But again the same scenario happened. Now I am at the stage that liquid coming from my ear. I will try to heal my ear again, but I'm SURE I definitely will not use my Galaxy buds pro again!

I googled a bit and found this topic and also other websites that reported the same problem for a group of people. I definitely contact Samsung in my country but I also wrote this post so you guys know one more is experiencing the same issue with the buds pro.

I have been complaining to Samsung about the same issue and have been constantly evaded, since taking the matter to twitter and copying in the ceo they are now taking me seriously. Its not good practise on their part thats for sure!
