If you bought the handset from Samsung then the free buds may likely show on your order confirmation if they shipped at the same time. On my S22+ order then it shows handset plus the Buds and 2x SmartTags that were free gifts.
If not, and you claimed the buds via redemption online, then Samsung will be able to link the Buds serial number to being allocated to that redemption.
In either case; at 8 months old then they'll be warranted anyway so doubt there will be any quibbles over purchase or them being repaired / replaced.
