I know , it says it all. They appear to be working at the minute but has anyone experienced longer term issues after total submersion eg with battery, electronics etc

Hi @CookieMon  The rating is IPX2 which seems to mean  that they  resist water that hits the product at a 15° angle or less. As it says in the article @xSteveuk  posted you need to dry them off with clean  a soft cloth and it is suggested that you air dry them for at least 12  hours.   I think you will need to keep an eye on them,though at least working at the moment. 

I once had a similar experience with a phone  thought it was some time ago  (not a Galaxy one)  😮
