Delivery delay

Hi, new here please be kind. Have a few Samsung products mobile, audio & TV and all been a good experience. However recently ordered an Active 2 watch via the Samsung website. Delivery date was 17 May but nothing came so I called customer service. 
Was told the item was out of stock and that I'll only get an update when it comes back into stock - all very matter of fact no additional detail, apology for no previous update or recognition that my money sits with Samsung but I've no product or date for delivery.

I'm looking for advice, am I as well to give up on this & cancel the order. Is it worth my while to complain & if so where do I direct that complaint?

It's a severe logistics problem at Samsung. Many have been waiting for their devices, me included. I don't know where to complain, but I've done too much of that with their customer service agents, I'm tired of it. I'll be cancelling my order too.
