i have a galaxy watch 5. which wouldnt connect to my phone after the recent software update for the galaxy s24 (idk august or september 2024). asking google suggests to factory reset the watch, which i did, but now it will not even do anything. the stupid app on the phone gets to 90% then shows the scanning window and after 2mins the watch says the connection failed and to try again. i have uninstalled the software on the phone then tried to connect via bluetooth directly, which results in these apps self installing, only to reach 90% again and give me the middle finger again. over and over. im about to throw it all in the rubbish bin and buy a product i know that works and doesnt get bricked once updated. I am trying to be very polite, hopefully this gives you an idea of just how frustrating software updates are. it wasnt like this when i bought the thing, it did work, i was using it. now i cant, its updates have turned it into a paperweight, a very expensive and light paperweight at that.

samsung, wtf is the problem with your software? why the update bricks? why can we no longer even setup this device as stand alone just to be able to use the thing as a regular watch ??? 

does anyone have this same problem and if so how did you resolve it?
