Hi committee, I recently received a galaxy 5 watch as a gift and thought it was great. All the adverts suggest that it has fantastic specifications and can be used with my phone. Unfortunately I became very disappointed that not only does the small companies not compatible but big companies like O2 can't match the number so essentially a watch has to have its own number. What it the point ???
My watch 5 pro lte has a separate number, but syncs directly to my phone. If someone rings my phone number, my watch rings too. I don't know the technicalities but it works I'm on EE on my phone and en EE Esim on my watch. I hope this helps
Hello @fona999, as long as you have a lte watch O2 can connect it to your Samsung phone, if you have one. But it will cost you extra on your monthly bill. I've been using mine since release. Speak to your phone network provider as already recommended and chase someone down who knows what they are talking about.
Hi @fona999, they have provided in the past as I was with them before moving to Vodafone. They may have changed policy, but that would be really silly as that's a backwards step in today's marketplace. I would try again and ask, politely, to speak to ther 2nd Line Support or Technical Support team. Your first line of contact are just following set scripts with little deviation and no technical knowledge.
