Can i use samsung watch 4g with iphone 8 plus?

I want to start a plan with ee on the samsung gold 4g but it says that i have to have a samsung? I thought thos was compatible with iphone?

the watch is compatible with other Android and iOS phones: https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/what-phones-are-compatible-with-the-galaxy-watch/ However, in order to use the 4G functionality you will need a compatible Samsung smartphone on the EE network with either a pay monthly or SIM only plan to connect your watch.
