Calls not displayed on Samsung Gear fit2 from Samsung Note 8 phone

I just recently changed to a Samsung Note 8 from a non Samsung phone. I have reset my Samsung gear fit2 and successfully connected them but I am not receiving calls displayed on my Gear Fit 2.

Hi do you have the allow notifications on in your settings  in your device 

You could also try rebooting your gear by holding the bottom button for a few seconds

Yes I have validated that notifications are turned on for the phone app and I did try resetting the gear but no luck still do not get call notifications coming through on the Gear Fit 2 from my Note 8. Appreciate the suggestions. Anybody else have any other ideas?
