Buds+ ambient sound not working during calls

I have This problem occurring.

I bought them just a couple of days ago. 

Model SM-R175

Latest iPhone Galaxy Buds app 

The option is selected to enable the mode during calls but it just greys out during a call and I cannot hear my own voice.

I was really looking toward to this functionality.

I’m using the latest app. I’ve tried resetting the buds. Still no ambient during calls. Maybe I have a faulty set.
