It appears Samsung has changed the wireless charging capability, so now it won't charge on most QI chargers.

all of the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic models support "WPC-based wireless charging". This means you can't charge your Galaxy 4 Watches with any old Qi wireless charger. It must be compatible with the new Galaxy smartwatches. Currently, only one such wireless charger on the market from Samsung called the Wireless Charger Duo. For now, Galaxy Watch 4 owners who want to power up wirelessly will have to stick to it.

no, it does not charge when turned off with a generic wireless charger. I just tested it.

Just to be clear, the main post original point still stands -

Agree. It used to work before, but I went to test yesterday hours after the post and now it shows a warning sign. So, it's changed. Since I'm guaranteeing it worked before

Hi all,

Confirming, after the last update, it charges perfectly. I've done 3x with it on and it charged fine

Not being able to charge your GW4 on most QI chargers is incredibly frustrating and has cost me alot of money. Is this a Samsung corporate greed issue taken from the Apple playbook or is there a legitimate technical issue for this major restriction esp. given how low the daily battery life is anyway e.g. GW4 needs a specialised QI charger to keep the watch thermals low when charging.
