In an effort to exercise more, I was thinking a smartwatch would help. I'd like a pretty watch, but nothing fancy or with endless features. I barely need to count my steps and maybe track other types of exercice I might try later. Would the Samsung Watch FE do the job? Some say it's too pricey for a watch that's pretty much like the 2021 Samsung Watch 4. But, I don't have any experience with watches anyways. Any thoughts?

Galaxy Fit3 sounds like a good fit for you, £70 RRP but is on Amazon for around £40.

But if you're willing to spend a bit more then the Watch FE will offer some more features.

Oh, good to know. I'm not crazy about the design of fitness bands, but I'll consider the suggestion, because I need something pretty basic. Thanks.

It's actually impressive for the price. Can always change the straps cheap enough to customise it.1731874943394.jpg

Fit 3 would be as pretty basic with most premium watch features. And for the price don't think there's better alternatives, unless you want bigger watch, as you mentioned like watch FE or watch 6 or 7

Also into consideration what's your budget and if you need these extra features that galaxy watch FE will give it to you with WearOS or other watches with WearOS. Also keep in mind galaxy watch 4 will be supported till 2025. Meanwhile watch FE will get up to 7 years security updates and few major updates. There's a bit of a read on this thread :

Thanks for the replies and for the link. In terms of budget, I was willing to invest up to $250 CAD, since I don't need many features. So with the ongoing Black Friday, the FE is still within my budget. The other factor that I want to take into consideration is the weight as well. I don't like to wear heavy stuff, that's why I don't wear as much jewelry as other women, for example.

I have watch 7 44mm and it doesn't heavy at all, sometimes when I just don't wear it my Mrs just takes it and has no issues with weight, if you're not crazy about the features and want basic things I guess fit 3 would be the option, if you want more elegant look with bit more features and being supported for longer like FE (it should get 7 years security updates) then probably get FE also you can always pop in in samsung store if there's any near to you and compare display models and see for yourself whitch fits the best, also some networks has display models as well, whatever you decide on buying best of luck with your new purchase hope you enjoy it 😊

Good to know that the FE is light as well. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll definitely visit a Samsung store.

Certainly Devices running the wear os offer greater functionality and there is the matter of future proofing.  However if you are sure you only need the basic features the Fit 3 would suit your needs, obviously a lot cheaper.
