Hello. I've been considering upgrading from my current fitness band to the Galaxy Fit 3 as I own a Galaxy A35 and would like to stay in the ecosystem. However, I've read on the r/GalaxyFit subreddit and on here that the Fit 3 has multiple issues regarding sleep tracking, workout tracking and step/general syncing. Most of these threads stopped being active after September 2024 though, with no one stating anything about these issues being fixed or not.
Is the Galaxy Fit 3 a viable product currently or should I look at other options?

I may be naive, but I hope that FIT 3 will get at least one more update. If I'm wrong, support has already ended. It's a very cheap product, with a fairly niche group of recipients. It's simply not worth it for Samsung to support it. It's been a year since the premiere, so if they cared, they would have fixed the bugs by now.
I'm currently comparing Amazfit Balance with Galaxy FIT 3. The latter is more closely paired with the Samsung ecosystem, but in terms of data quality, Amazfit performs better. It's a trivial matter, but it doesn't show me these micro wake-ups during the night, which in reality don't exist.

For anyone else who found this thread, no the issues are not resolved. I purchased one in March 2025. Steps are way overcounted (nearly double) and multiple sleep sessions were not recorded.

Hello,
I have been using the Galaxy Fit 3 since July 2024. Initially, I encountered issues with the steps not syncing between the Fit 3 and my S21 Plus. However, after a series of software updates—the latest being on September 10, 2024—I have not experienced any problems with the band.
The battery lasts for 6–7 days with the following settings:
10-minute heart rate monitoring
Blood oxygen tracking while sleeping
Always-on display (AoD) off
Auto brightness enabled
Tap to wake up enabled
You may want to try updating the band.
To update:
1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app.
2. Scroll down until you see Band Software Update.
3. Update it to the latest version.
I hope this helps.!

I'm glad to see that my thread is still active after a couple of months, haha.
From the information I have gathered, it seems that the Fit 3 might be kind of a hit-or-miss for some people. What I mean by that is some people state that they have problems with the device (either a defective one, previous firmware bugs, or a software incompatibility with their phones), while others (including me) have experienced minimal or even zero issues, most of which I have stated in a previous reply of mine. I still don't know what might be causing the issues people are having, mainly because there are so many factors at play. As much as I like my Fit 3, though, I don't know if I can recommend it enough, since some people still experience issues.
As for the step tracking, I did experience overcounted steps in the beginning, but after disabling the phone step counting option in Samsung Health and probably a week or so of machine learning, I have not seen any major deviations in step counting, +/- 10 steps at most.
As for the sleep tracking, multiple sleeping sessions are recorded on my Fit 3, they just have to be above 1hr-1hr30min. It automatically discards any sessions less than that.
I also saw the update notification on my phone on March 17th 2025, but I have not updated yet. If anyone has already performed the update, please let me know if anything has improved or changed.
