I'm having a terrible reaction to my Galaxy Buds Pro. At first I thought it must be an ear infection but after visiting the doctor (and thoroughly cleaning my ear buds) it's clear it's a reaction to something in the product itself.

I've been using them since around March and the first severe reaction occurred in April. I stopped using them, I saw the doctor who confirmed it was a reaction to something and not an infection. Once the issue cleared up a cleaned the ear buds thoroughly but after using for just an hour the symptoms started coming on again (12-24 hours later).

I'm not allergic to anything (that I know of) but there is nothing else that could have caused this.

Symptoms: pain, ears weeping fluid, crust build up, inflammation and pressure in the sinuses

Samsung support advice: stop using them 🙄

Yeah, obviously. Plus, even if I wanted to use them I'm in pain and won't be putting anything in my ears right now let alone the thing causing the problem.

They contain nickel? Not really what yours expect from a premium product. I don't have a nickel allergy but if course its incredibly common to be allergic to it and allergies can develop at any time. Perhaps this is the cause?

This seems to be a problem just with you. There is nothing wrong with the buds. You just cant use them due to medical reasons. So stay away from them, find other earbuds that work for you.

It's not just a problem with me. There are multiple reports of this. I don't have any known allergies. I have no issues with other earbuds. There is something strange going on.

Like your doctor said, 'your ears' reacted to something. This is the first I heard about this. Meaning this problem has something to do with you specific health.
Please try other earbuds.

Did you read any of the referenced articles or check the US Samsung forums? I did. This is a confirmed issue with other users globally. The Netherlands is a tiny market and your (personal) level of knowledge is limited. Fabulous you can be an armchair expert rather than a Samsung employee but just because you're not aware of an issue doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I don't like ill informed comments like 'this seems to be a problem with just you' when I'm trying to find a solution. In the US Samsung are taking batch and serial numbers of the product because there might be a problem considering the numerous reports.
