I have purchased a washing machine under the false premise that it was eligible to 5 years extended warranty.
What I did was to go on the Samsung website and filter all their washing machines eligible to 5 years warranty.
https://www.samsung.com/nl/washers-and-dryers/washing-machines/?5-year
The machine I bought WW11DB7B94GE is the first on the list.
Good, I went ahead and made the purchase. Upon delivery I then went to try to register it via https://www.samsung.com/nl/verlengde-garantie-members/ and couldn't find my model in the form.
I'm since told that the information on the website is wrong and that the washing machine is not eligible to extended warranty because it's not listed here https://www.samsung.com/nl/verlengde-garantie-members/
How would I know that I needed to check there? Who tells me which bit of information Samsung provides is reliable, is it the website or is it the final link they gave me? I think Samsung is responsible for the information they provide and the choices that we, as customers, make based on them.
I purchased that specific model, paying a bit more because it was offered with the extended warranty and I am offered nothing to compensate the false advertising.
This is not good customer service!
