I returned to Nougat using instructions from sammobile com (select your operator from the "Country" drop down) Even though I used  HOME_CSC OXM to keep my apps and data, I had to factory reset my S7 flat after Odin's action. The return to Nougat went well apart from that. So backup all your data with Samsung SmartSwitch before the operation. Be aware! I have no doubt the problem with the battery after the upgrade to Oreo originates from Samsung. First time I updated my S7 without hard reset. The problem with the battery arrived immediately. Then I did hard reset, the Oreo was already the new factory setting. So the only option was to install Oreo again. The battery problem remained. Then I calibrated the battery, no help. I used my telephone with the same simcard, in the same way before and after. My advice: DO NO UPGRADE! The only efficient solution for the issue is to switch off mobile data. Hi! No good news in my case though. Standby cella consumes 1/3 of the battery when Dati Mobili selected on. Calibrating the battery obviously changes nothing. The problem is in the new soft.
