Hi FlossyT do you know how much the 'Test' model discount is? I accepted AO.com's 'goodwill gesture' on the understanding that this was not accepting the product as it is, only for the inconvenience to myself so far! Thanks FlossyT, I did see those, I don't like the design of the drawers.  My fridge door is making a noise too when closing slowly, we believe it's the seal.  I am continuing to pursue this matter with Samsung, as previously mentioned, they have misrepresented their products & the appliance purchased was not the one I received.  I require written assurance from Samsung that the F/F is 100% safe to use.  This purchase will become an inconvenience, due to having to remove dogs hair that has already accumulated in the open area & I require a satisfactory resolution from them. Hi Heehog & FlossyT putting my comment again - After speaking with AO.com earlier today & still unable to get to the crux of the situation, Samsung again have advised that the Fridge/Freezer should not come with the lower grille - they have given no explanation, it just doesn't.  Apparently according to AO.com none of their F/F's do? They have assured AO that it is safe to use & I have requested that they e-mail myself to confirm this in writing.  Their product analyst's are looking to change the illustrations on Samsung website.  AO.com as a supplier cannot offer any make of F/F with a full enclosed back. They have offered a goodwill gesture for my 'inconvenience' which I have accepted.  However, this does not affect pursuing Samsung in making a formal complaint & hopefully reaching a satisfactory resolution. Hi Heehog & Flossy T, I have just come off the phone to AO.com who have been liaising with Samsung.  This has now been passed to Samsungs product analysts who are now in the process of changing illustrations on their website.  No-one can get to the crux of the situation.  They do not know why this (& others) do not come without the grille, all they know is that it doesn't & shouldn't!  AO has assured me it is safe to use (as advised by Samsung) I have requested that Samsung send me assurance via e-mail, if they are not prepared to do this then AO have said they will.  Apparently, none of their fridges come with the lower grille?? Hi FlossyT, If Samsung can't supply the grille , they should offer a similar alternative with grille, even if the retail price is higher.  We purchased this appliance in good faith.  As I have mentioned previously, they are misrepresenting their products & are continuing to do so currently, even though we have highlighted this. Jeez, what a mess!!  Yeah, I got mine in the 'Black Friday Deal' load of cobblers to be honest as it was the same price a week later on AO.  Irrespective of the price, this should be the model we purchased, fully enclosed back & no leaky gunk from anywhere!  They should either supply the grill with fittings, replace with a model with a fully enclosed back (minus gunk) even if more expensive or give a significant reimbursement of cost with written assurance that it fully complies with UK legislation!   ... After spending 1 1/2 hrs on the phone friday (at my expense) to no avail & nearly 3 hours...yes 3 hours speaking to 'Samsung Experts' working from home (again at my expense) where at one point I was put through to a mobile phone department, it has apparently been established that this model & the others in the range do not come with the lower grille/cover. I asked "why not" as there are mouldings/ fixings to accommodate a grill? Reply was A++ models do not have the lower cover! They tried to order it & it bounced back.  I can't see any grille on their parts department as a replacement to purchase either.  I am like you FlossyT, I purchased this as my preference was the fully covered back as I have heavily shedding dogs! I explained this & they have escalated it to a 'case manager'.  I have advised that the image shown amounts to misrepresentation - the agent (one of 5 I have spoken with today)  advised I could get a replacement? surely not of the same product as he had just advised it doesn't come with the lower cover?!!!! If I picked another model, you can't trust their bloody images & may end up the same.  I am awaiting a call from a 'case manager' within 24/48hrs.  I am also in contact with the supplier A.O. I received my fridge freezer today without the lower grill-It appears to have the fixing points for it too.  I have been in touch with Samsung technical support & have sent them a photo & also been in touch with the supplier AO.  It may well be ok to use without however, I purchased this as a fully enclosed F/F which was my preference.
