The problem appears to be Samsung's bluetooth software for the phone connection as the music connection works fine when the phone connection is off.   This is workaround that worked for me. This is soo frustrating. I've had the first Galaxy phone, S2, S5 and now this one and I hate how everytime they update the OS, the phone just gets buggier and buggier. My always on clock was one of my favorite features of the phone and some recent update broke it. I just wiped it and rebuilt it and still no AOD clock. Samsung, I was amped to get the Note 9, but not when after a year and update the phone turns into a giant steaming pile of poo,.  I lost my Gear Fit2 and got a Fitbit and so unless some fixes come down the pike, I'm not seeing much reason to stay with Samsung where there are a host of other great Android phones out there. I actually reached out to Samsung regarding this issue. After 3 attempts I finally was able to get through and have my issue "Escalated". The end result is that they wanted me to ship them my phone for up to 2 weeks. When inquiring about what i was to do for communication during that time ( I do not have a land line, not many people do these days) I was given no other option. I tried to impress upon them that this was not a single device this was happening on. We are talking multiple devices and multiple cards in my own home! I did not find their solution acceptable. I even made mention of this thread. What are we up to, 38 pages now of people expressing concern about this issue? I may try to get back to Samsung in hopes I find someone a little more receptive. Or give Sprint a call to see what their stance is on this. Ultimately this has placed a seriously bad taste in my mouth for the Galaxy series phone. Hi all.   We pitched this mystery at our developers. From the info given, they've positively identified that keyboard layout concept as being intended for the Chinese market - which strongly points towards the device and/or software being intended for customers in China. Without log files to check the software binary, they're unable to 100% confirm the device or software's market origin though. (If anyone out there who's experienced the same keyboard weirdness wants to send some log files, they can do so via the error reporting feature in the Samsung Members app.)   However, it would explain why Samsung Support in Canada or us in the UK weren't able to replicate the issue or resolve; and why the OP's keyboard reset reverted the language to Chinese. ...
