The HLG has been fixed on 2016 TV's with firmware version 1239   You need to contact Samsung via live chat / telephone who will send you a USB stick with the new software on it.   The BBC Iplayer will not be fixed. Yes I believe the gamma curve that was wrong on the hd fury and also a roku was also parent on 2018 TVs as well   i hope they fixed this at the same time probably on the 2018 TVs and it was a case of using this on the 2016 TVs    no no doubt sky who wer testing the update would have spotted if the gamma curve was incorrect   ... Finally some credit for Samsung   the HLG update will be with us soon for 2016 TVs as it has been successfully tested and passed by Sky   Samsung has also confirmed  that older tv  will be able to get a evolution kit to make them compatible   samsung has come for a lot of criticism on this thread maybe rightly so but they have come up with the goods   HLG did not exist when the TV came out so you could not blame Samsung. Yes iplayer will still not work 4K HDR but again this is the same scenario at least there will be a workaround for this once the hlg over HDMI update comes out   i think the update will also fix the gamma errors that even the 2018 TVs have had. A 2018 owner in Italy has reported that the HLG curve via HDMI is not correct ie washed out as indicated by tarbat using a HD Fury on a KS 2016 TV   Samsung will be working to fix this on a 2018 TV.  Assuming it is the same error on the 2016 they will hopefully be able to build this fix into the HLG via HDMI fix hence possibly why it has taken some time   Imagine thr response on here if a fix was released and  the gamma issue not corrected  ...
