Hi,  Your post has got me curious lol.   Samsung has one of the lowest SAR results, compared to other smartphone manufacturers.   Slot 1 is default as you probably know.   With 2 sim cards installed and slot 2 disabled yes it will stop slot 2 from functioning in theory however it may still carry out backround processes, during OS updates, booting up or down etc. Although visually disabled the phone will know the sim cards installed, The best method would be to just remove the sim. You could go in to settings and check your active backround processes and try disabling it that way. Slot 2 disabled with sim card installed will only give of limited radiation.   For protection or reduction from radiation to yourself, try using your speakerphone or an handsfree kit, effectively keeping the phone away from yourself. Low signal can increase radiation output. Finally you could buy a case to reduce the radiation.    Interferance wise switch off inactive functions, turn on data saving.     ... View more

I would say that is too hot, try running the same test with your phone without the phone being exposed to sunlight. Any device that holds batteries should never be exposed to direct sunlight for obvious reasons even on a cloudy day a windscreen can amplify heat from the sun. Try running a game with a high graphics requirement indoors and then test the temperature, i would say the upper limit without heat exposure would be a maxinum of around 40 celsius any more than that and i would advice getting the device looked at. If the results are normal i would say you need to adapt your windscreen holder or reposition it next to a pillow to shade it from the sun as much as possible. Temperature can be effected by the following: Heat exposure. Charging. Brightness. Screen resolutions. I had the exact same issue after a OS update, if you havn't already try this:   Check for updates for your drivers in device manager, check chipset drivers, network drivers, BIOS drivers, graphics card, check them all.  (THIS solved my issue) but i have fixed computers using the below with the same issue.   Run command prompt as admin and check for power requests. type:  powercfg -requests There shouldn't be any. If there is take note.   Launch windows in safe mode and see if sleep mode works, if it does then there could be a program going rougue, to find out  enter system configuration then services  and disable all, then launch task manager and disable all start up programs and restart, once started up try sleep mode again if it works then repeat the method but this time only disabling one program at a time to see if you can single out the problem.   You could try resetting the BIOS see if that helps.   Pulling at straws here but you could try running CCleaner see if that fixes anything.   Im guessing you have tried the troubleshooter LOL.   Hopefully this may help.             ... Preloaded applications can be a pain, here is some things you could try if you havn't already.   Go into Bixby settings then cards and make sure Upday is turned off that may be bypassing what you have done to stop notifications.     I know you said you went into settings then notifications, however try applications instead and force stop the app and remove Upday's permissions etc.   That failing you could try enabling Upday then check for an update via galaxy apps for Upday and then repeating everything you have tried, it may be that the current version of Upday you have has an issue.   Last but not least makesure your phone has the latest updates as this can sometimes fix these issues, i am not insulting your intelligence by the way.    Hope this helps somewhat.     ... I had a similar issue until i got used to the phone, my problem though was that i was pulling the phone from my ear when talking which allowed light to hit the front sensors which in turn activated the screen then when the screen was activated i kept on hitting the touch pad with my ear which muted or ended the call by mistake. Im GUESSING the phones display was activated by the sensors because it believed i wanted to look at the screen. This may not be your cause but im just putting it out there just incase, check for yourself though ring a random number and cover the front top of your phone with your hand and the screen stays off then uncover it during the call and the screen comes on.   That being said and the fact this may not be your cause, below is some pictures of my setting options, you could try to see if it helps at all. Hi, i have set out below somethings that may work for you.   Try putting the music  in to the music file in your internal storage. It might not play because the music may be in the wrong folder.     It may also be that the music files are a unsupported file type/codec , make sure you all your software is up to date as updates usually fixes that kind of issue. That failing you can download a mp3 converter from the play store and try converting the music files or alternatively put the music files on to a PC and use an online converter then put them on to your phone.   I have included a picture of a converter from the play store, i have not tried it but the reviews seem promising.    Hope this helps. ... I had the same issue however fixed mine by going to the status bar settings and turning off "show recent notifications only" having that switched on only shows the most recent 3 notifications, also i have the edge lighting and led indicator turned on for notifcations, hopefully this helps you all.     ... I have seen some posts on this with people saying they are experiencing similar things, especially when using third party applications, wallpapers, themes and re-mapping software for bixby etc. This may or may not be the cause to your problem.   The S9 models have not long been released and some third party applications have compatibility issues and developers are working on this.   Sometimes new updates can become corrupted if the phone loses power during installation or loses internet connection when downloading.   When new phone models which are newly released regardless of manufacturer will always suffer from some kind of software weaknes that require a patch, update etc to fix.     That being said your problem could be a could be a hardware issue.    If it is a hardware issue then you can return it if your within your cooling down period or have it repaired under Samsungs warranty so long as the issue has not been caused by anything voiding warranty for example accidental damage, water damage etc.    All that being said here is some things you can try if your issue continues:   Check your operating system is up to date.   Check to make sure you have no conflicting third party software or any third applications running the same processes as preloaded applications.   Open Samsungs device maintainance application and check and fix any applications pulling to much battery power, check and fix applications crashing, check and delete ram data, free up storage, run a virus scan.   You could try a factory reset.   Reduce applications running in the backround.   If your phone freezes with a black screen again you could try these methods instead of a soft reset.   Clearing ram and cache using recovery mode.   Use safe mode.   Allow phone to discharge completely. Whats app videos recieved by message can only be downloaded by the device that recieved it. The videos must be in your old devices storage and correct allocated whats app storage folder to transfer and be played directly from whats app on a new device, this would cause your issue of no playback when transferred if they were not in your old phones storage.   If the videos were in your old phones storage then check and makesure Whats app permissions on your old phone and also check the video folders on your old phone is not protected and restricting them being transferred.    It is highly unlikely that it is a video codec problem preventing play back, but just incase check you have the latest software intalled and check the video type is compatible with your new phones video player.   The best an easiest options now would either be to download the videos from whats app to your old phones storage and then transfer the videos direct from your old phones storage to your new phone or backup your videos on your old phone to cloud storage and then download them onto your new device from cloud storage.   Hope this helps. ... I have the i-Blason Armor box I like it and it protects the phone really well and its a reasonable price, it has a built-in kick stand as well and wireless charging works with the cover on, it comes with a belt clip if thats your thing, it also has port protection. That being said it does have some draw backs it makes the phone bigger and bulkier, it offers a lot of protection but does not come with a screen protector however does have a front bumper and front cover with clip when not in use. Hi, i have the S9+ and i use it as my main driver, i dont know if mine works as i dont think ive recieved any uknown calls yet. That been said i have checked the android security software updates page which shows 2 security updates are coming soon, which may cover your issue. I have included pictures of current OS and application software versions and any information etc for reference.   I have listed below somethings that you could try if you havnt already:   Have you got the latest software updates for your phone application and operating system ? Software updates usually fixes issues, especially with the fact the S9 models have not long been released and therefore may have glitches in the operating system.   Have you tried resetting your mobile network settings and reinstalling your carrier settings.   Have you tried turning off the block unknown caller, then force stopping the application in your settings then starting the phone application again and turning on block uknown callers again.   All that failing and you need an alternative to stop unwanted calls then can download a call blocking application from the play store, i had a quick look for you and i found one called whoscall which is an editors choice, ive attached a picture so you know what it looks like.   I hope this somehow helps. Hi.   Some of the below mentioned may help you:    Do you have the latest updates for your email applications and operating system.   Do you have multiple applications managing your email accounts for example using a gmail application and samsung email application which are managing the same email account, if so this could be causing your issues because of backround syncing.    Have you tried going to application settings and checking your application has the relevant permissions. From the same menu you could try force stopping the application and re opening the application.   Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your email applications, that can sometimes fix some issues, or alternatively you can delete your email account from your applications then add them again if your application cannot be uninstalled.   Have you tried using a different application to manage your accounts.   Have you tried cleaning and optimising your ram/storage using your device maintenance appication, this sometimes fixes issues.   Have you tried a full shut down.   Not trying to tell you how to suck eggs with some of the above lol.   This may save you time in the future: I have automatic deleting turned on for my device only which deletes old emails once they are older than a set time period, however deleted emails can still be viewed via online account using a internet browser.   Hope this helps. ... Yeah, to be honest im also disappointed with the quality of super slow motion.   Super slow motion does not do well with low or dingy lighting at all, i HAVE had it working and it did come out well, however it took me a good 10 minutes to get the ideal lighting and angle for it to be a reasonable quality video. Another thing that lets the super slow motion down is the amount of capture time. For now i am just using the normal slow motion feature which produces a better quality video and easier to use in most enviroments. I did a normal slow motion video comparison with my friends iphone 8 and in my opinion the iphone actually took a better quality standard slow motion video than the S9+ which was dissapointing especially when Samsung has boasted so much about their S9 models camera capabilities, it was also easier to use in on the iphone, even though i am a true android lover i have to give it to apple they have done a good job with there camera in all aspects including how easy it is to use, the shutter speed and the quality in what it captures.   I believe however with all that been said, this is a software issue and not a hardware problem, when you consider the quality and spec of hardware components in the S9 cameras.
