Not sure where people are seeing devices changed to XEU. Just looked and I am on the ZSJ8 build but my device is still BTU. No sign of 2nd beta though ... Samsung should make some form of announcement of the situation to those of us who dived in early to find it was a mistake ...

Glad that helped! I saw it return again for a bit and realised that Bixby routines were running based on my location and trying to change lock screen behaviour. I disabled Bixby routines and now all seems good!

FYI I set "lift to wake" to off and this seems to have resolved the issue so far

I have the same issue, doesn't always seem to be based on inactivity, driving me nuts as sometimes it locks back immediately after unlock and app open

Just if anyone is following this I raised a ticket with gmail app but heard nothing. Chatted to Samsung support who helped me through a few things, none worked. Their suggestion was factory reset which I have not yet done as need to back some things up. If anyone has this issue and has already tried factory reset please let me know results. Thanks. EDIT: Factory Reset doesn't fix this 😞

Well, at least I am not the only one. There is no way to uninstall GMail app, you can only remove all the updates back to how it way at day 1, however this didnt do anything for me ... Hi. Since the past 2 Oreo updates my Gmail app notification has gone crazy. If 8 have 1 unread mail I get a "1", if I have 2 unread it displays "4", 3 unread I get "9" etc. All the way up to insane numbers so I wake up in the morning looking like I have hundreds of emails. A quick Google gives two recent forum threads on a couple of android forums withe the same issues but no solution anywhere. I tried clearing app cache and data, uninstalling (well rolling back all updates) and clearing the cache for the " BadgeProvider" service too. Nothing makes a difference. Anyone else? Suggestions?
