If it helps this is what I initially said:   " I understand there is new firmware for the KS7000 tv's that will allow HDR/HLG via inputs, seems to have already been made available to some in Italy, how can I get a download? Thanks"   He went away, came back and said could provide a USB with the update and asked for the model number etc.   They were pretty slow to respond at times so stick with it, took 25 mins from start to finish but I was doing other things in between. ... I've noticed something kinda odd with the 4k firestick, it seems constantly put the TV into 'HDR' mode i.e. changing the default settings to 20 back light etc regardless of the source material. The only time I find it not doing it is when using iPlayer... where it maintains the default settings. Any thoughts? ... View more

He said yesterday he's "pushing to get out the update, at least for the forum users " which doesn't fill me with hope of it being a Samsung update. I'm not clear on whether this is a update to the Sky box or the TV firmware though, as he seems to be from Sky's end...   Hopefully it's the TV firmware in which case it should work for other inputs. Naively I thought I'd future proofed myself with this purchase in terms of home connectablity via the advertised Smart Things Hub and HDR capabilities for TV and gaming.   Unfortunately I bought via Currys (only place that had stock at the time) so not holding my breath of getting anywhere with them.    Cheers ...
