Had this phone (S10+) a couple of months now and as good as it is one thing still annoys me, so much so I am thinking of selling it, and that is unlocking it. If you've never used this kind of technology before it would be fine and you'd have no issues, however if you've used something like an iPhone X or Mate 20 Pro its painful using this phone. Face unlock works 99% of the time in bright outdoor areas, come indoors its got about 70% success rate, and if its dull its below 50%. The iphone and Huawei work fine indoors, if its dark, slightest hint of your face and it unlocks where as with this phone I find myself looking like a prat by having to hold it up to my face. Then we have finger print, that is just a disaster, that technology should be forgot about and never used again, I'm a tradesman and as such my hands often have little niks, or are dirty this simply wont work and not only that it takes about 1 second to even register that you are trying to unlock, mine only works about 1 in 5 attemps with clean hands and multiple finger prints registered. Huawei's in screen isn't great either but much better than Samsungs All this is minor annoyances but if you are unlocking your phone up to 70 times per day it quickly becomes a major annoyance. First of all love the phone however something has become evident, its not getting updates. I am UK unlocked, stuck on April patch, checking sammobile the middle east is stuck on January patch. The only version that seems to be getting updates is the north American A715W version. This wouldn't be an issue were it not for the fact that I left Huawei P30 because it was only getting updates 2-3 times per year. Also last years A series is getting monthly updates. MY work A50 is on July patch and gets an update every month. Why would this be? Not good service for a new phone, that's like the new iPhone SE not getting updates while the iPhone 7 is. ... Having a 4500mah battery I expected big things from this phone.  Its got the biggest battery I have ever had on a phone but sadly it doesn't perform like it.   My previous phone was an iPhone XR and before that a Huawei P20 pro,  both had similar battery life and I simply could not kill them batteries in one day,  This phone I could.   With my previous phones with my usage I would come home from work with around 70% battery life, on the A71 its around 45% by the time I got to bed its more or less flat.  Its certainly not a phone for an overnight stay somewhere without a charger, the pervious two phones are.   I only got my phone last week and even today I haven't got most of my apps installed, I am still running only the basic apps such as Gmail, facebook etc.  I removed whatever bit of bloat was on the phone when I first got it and this hasn't made any difference.   Anyone else have a similar experience? I've never come across a fingerprint scanner so bad.  I have 3 fingers added, it works roughly 1 out of 5 attempts, I've deleted prints, added again an no difference.  It makes using fingerprint to unlock say my bank app useless, Or fingerprint to autofill passwords again useless.    And while I'm at it the face recognition isn't really much better, it works fine in a bright well lit area but lying in bed with say just the lamp light doesn't work.   My previous phone an Honor 8X I could lie in bed in the dark and using just the screen light from the phone it worked fine.     Anyone else have these issues? ...
