the carriers update or msging update on phone? If msgaginig on fone open messages go to settings then about if an update is due it be here. If its to send mms rather than mms then conact your carrier

waiting for firmware updates is so tiresome. Maybe we all need to boycott Samsung with our next phone and give them the fright of their lives. If i was asked what make my next phone will be? I dont want any anvertising relevant to me or anyone else whether from Samsung or Google. Its time we as users should be able to turn off all adverts of all kinds and stop all companies from harvesting our data our information if and when we want to.

I think end of summer or by Xmas we will get 8.1 then it will be time for Android 9.0. And the wait for that could be 18 months away the speed Samsung works at.

When upgrade started it did say ***** version. However after all finished it sais CRB7. Security patch is Feb 2018 and Samsumg Exp is 9. So all done. All seems to be working all ok. I hope all of you still waiting for oreo get it very soon. P.s. Im on Vodafone in GB.

I swapped my sim from Note 4 to S8. Vodafone did their stuff and off i went. Can you put old sim in new phone and use that to find your stuff? If not take everything to your phone shop and ask them to help you.

Do you know the names of the malware? Make a list and research them. There are various apps to try and stop malware. If the malware came with an app id uninstall that/those Apps. Maybe a full phone reset is required but im not sure if will work.

Yes Im still on Nov security patch. It sure is disgraceful that this is the case. Say we get 8.0 this month does that include all the latest security patches upto Feb 18? Can anyone tell us anything about us getting security updates anytime soon? If my car mechanic m8 was this slow he would be out of business. As many people have said other companies have got 8.0 out to phones. If Note 8 or S7 etc gets 8.0 before S8 then that's it i send it back saying please place where sun dont shine preferrably sideways. If it was available id have got the Engergiser phone with 16k AmH battery AntS has responded to me yet. Have i asked unanswerable questions ? Or are they too difficult ?

I think it will be Xmaz before we see 8.1. As for Android P could be 2020. Samsung have too many fone models for it to now cope with. Quality is always better than quantity. If i could i would ditch my S8 and get the Engergiser phone with a 16k Amh battery. Things had better change and effing fast or this is my last Samsung phone. Although i would never get an apple device. Some heads need to roll over all this. Id be so embarrassed to work there at the moment. The beta project needs a rejig. Maybe only respond directly to Samsung and post on here less info and we all sign up to a standard of behaviors. Come on Sad Sam makes us happy and get it sorted out.
