I've disabled Bixby. I've heard Bixby won't be around for long. Unlike weight management that got killed off for no reason in the health app. It seems that Samsung is on their way to kill a lot of different services and features. Rumor is out that Bixby will be terminated. Samsung has 21% of the Android market and only few people use Bixby. I haven't seen any vamped up versions lately so I believe they will abandon it as Google Assistant is on 100% of Android devices.   Some people who invested in Samsung Eco System will feel angry, but Samsung seems to do things half- heartedly nowadays.   Just disable it and pretend it never existed.  ... Hi, thanks for the workaround. Unfortunately this won't work for long. Samsung is killing database entries of weight management and caffeine logger. The workaround may be working if you do not sync with Samsung account and if you turn off both Galaxy Store and Google Play Store automatic updates. I feel for these kids. I know first hand how important it is to live and  maintain a healthy lifestyle when kids prefer to sit and play games on computer instead of doing real sports. Thanks for checking out what is out there. If Samsung doesn't change their minds, I will for sure return the watches and go for a Garmin or a company that actually cares about their product-line. I'll see what I do with the phones.    In my line of work I've purchased a handful of Samsung Premium Monitors, SSDs, nVMEs and probably dozens of HDDs in the old days. It was actually the HDDs and the monitors that convinced me Samsung was a serious brand and it was the reason why I bought Samsung phones when I left Apple Eco system.   We've updated every phone except for S10 for the entire family. That is four phones since S6 all the way to S20. We've just updated our old smartwatch with new Active 2. They still market the Active 2 as being able to track calorie intake, even though the service will end in less than a month and make it into an expensive step counter.   I think it has been great to teach the kids a good healthy balance in a crazy world. Sure, one can be "naughty" once in a while as long as you don't overdo it. Especially now in COVID times us adults have been able to take long walks, do more sports and see our waist-line shrink. Without the calorie tracker and weight management it would have been hard. You get that "Aha epxierience" when you punch in the items you've consumed and realize the balance you need to achieve.   So apart from feeling ripped of for cash for a service no longer avaiable and getting angry on behalf of Samsung for killing a working and unique integration into a phone and watch, I can't help but ask - what is this decision based on?   Is it stupidity or ignorance? I can't think of any other, except...  maybe the Chinese competitors placed a mole as head of Samsung Health and they want to dismantle the service completely. I'm afraid it is a matter of time and rolling out the updates and the news. Germany and Scandinavia got it on the 16th. South Korea as well. South American countries on the 17th. USA on the 18th. I believe India has also recevied the news on the 17th. You would be lucky if they don't change anything in UK, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Samsung have no interest in fixing any bugs or keeping the software alive at the moment. Cara Sabrina, Comprendo appieno lo sviluppo di strumenti e applicazioni tecniche e ho collaborato con i product manager per me. So come vengono prese le decisioni. Ho anche visto come vengono prese le decisioni sbagliate.   Qualunque strumento tu abbia usato, si trattava di un gruppo di esperti o di dati utente per venire a conoscenza di un numero di utenti di quel servizio. Probabilmente hai scoperto che solo una frazione usa peso, calorie e caffeina, diciamo il 5 percento. Poiché i product manager di Samsung hanno un budget annuale e non vogliono sviluppare qualcosa per quella piccola nicchia, sentono più contenuti che chiudono tale operazione. Questo è ciò che Microsoft ha fatto con la sua band. Questo è ciò che Google ha fatto con Google Health.   Ci sono concorrenti là fuori, che in realtà fanno pagare soldi e ancora non si avvicinano a Samsung Health. Eppure milioni di persone scaricano e pagano abbonamenti mensili per Noom, LifeSum, MyFitnessPal, Lose it etc, ecc. La tua app è migliore di tutte le loro! Hai un sistema ecologico completo che funziona con orologi, bilance e altri sensori.   Il costo per mantenerlo trascurabile in quanto richiede solo frazioni di dati da sincronizzare con il tuo server! Il codice nell'app può essere lasciato così com'è. Nessuno ha bisogno di toccarlo. Pensa come un business leader e non un product manager: se il 5-10 percento dei tuoi clienti sono quelli che usano i tuoi sistemi all'avanguardia e li porti via e diventano mainstream, allora quelle persone che sono molto leali andranno altrove.   Ci sono abbastanza marchi cinesi là fuori che fanno quasi quello che fa Samsung. Per me, ciò che Samsung rappresenta è farlo meglio, farlo in modo più intelligente e avere un vantaggio. Ecco perché aggiorno quattro telefoni della nostra famiglia ogni anno e quattro smartwatch. Ecco perché abbiamo TV Samsung, lavatrici e altri elettrodomestici. Il denaro non è il problema. Ma non comprerò Samsung se non puoi essere all'altezza della logica e del buon senso!   Quello che dici è che Samsung non è più un leader. Stai perdendo il vantaggio. Sei ora nella categoria principale? Vuoi fare quello che fanno le masse. Come qualsiasi concorrente cinese là fuori.   Invece, uccidi un servizio a causa di cosa? Non ti costa nulla. Ciao Christina,   Grazie per essere tornato da me. La notizia è stata pubblicata su Samsung Health il 16 luglio in Germania, in Scandinavia. Il 18 negli Stati Uniti e in Sud America. Il 16 in Corea. È evidentemente implementato a livello globale con il prossimo aggiornamento S Health 6.11 e 4.1 per Smartwatch. Molto probabilmente vedrai la notifica nell'app Samsung Health nel menu della tua attuale versione 6.0.x. Bene, questa è una questione di opinione. Il mio telefono è sincronizzato con una scala (scala MI) tramite dente blu. Registra il peso automaticamente ogni giorno. Vogliono rimuovere la gestione del peso. Perché? Ovviamente devi inserire i dati. L'app non è telepatica e nessun'altra app è telepatica. Ho la possibilità di inserire manualmente le calorie o utilizzare la funzione di ricerca. Ovviamente sarebbe stato meglio sviluppare l'app per scansionare i codici a barre come alcune altre app. Ma com'è ora, stanno paralizzando l'app.   Ho appena comprato quattro S20 per la famiglia e quattro Smartwatch. Aggiorniamo ogni anno e utilizziamo queste app. Se Samsung non vuole aggiornare il tracker delle calorie, perché non lasciare semplicemente la gestione del peso, il contatore di calorie e il contatore di caffeina così com'è ??? Thank you for an elegantly put response.  I am at a loss how this bizarre decision has been conceived at Samsung.    You have a unique position with a fully functional software and calory tracker integrated with your Galaxy Smartphones. It has been there for years. I have used it for years. Why would you give that up? How stupid is that idea? In which way does a caffeine tracker or a calory tracker break your app to the point you can not release a new version with it?   Three simple questions for the genius in charge at Samsung:   1) Why should I buy a smartwatch from you in the future for a service you are dismantling.    2) Why should I have  an app that counts how many calories I've spent excercising, when it doesn't have a baseline - something to compare this value to - in other words a calorie tracker or logger? Showing how many calories you burnt is nothing if you don't deduct what you consume. It's simple arithmetics. Plus and minus.    3) If you do not wish to expand the Samsung Health app to include fancy things like scanning BarCodes and invest in it, then at least let me punch in my own numbers, thank you very much. Leave it as it is!   Unfortunately Zippyioa - This is not just Germany... this must be a European thing or even a Global thing. I'm in Scandinavia.   Hearing how some genius at Samsung decided to cripple this service gave me a déjà vu of Steve Balmer laughing and ridiculing Apple's Iphone in 2010, saying: "500  dollars? Fully subsidized? With a plan? I said that is the most expensive phone in the world.
