I was amazed when i play last of us 2 on q95t firmware version 1112 really Game-mode was better than any effective presets. When the firmware 1302 rolled out Game-mode became worse it looks very poor contrast, blooming, washed-out image ect. No reply from SCAMSUNG now on 1461 its look like an advertisement led board hanging on airports and railway stations without any contrast and local dimming

Game-mode ON vs OFF see the difference between same images captured in game-mode ON and OFF. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY THIS IS NOT THE PREMIUM TV AS ADVERTISED. Extreme Light bleeding/blooming very poor contrast washed-out image on game-mode. This TV is a Laugh !!!

I don't have DSE or ghosting some units may have those problems. Once i replaced for purple tinting and the second one is even better there is no purple tinting anymore. So far these two units are excellent apart from this ineffective game-mode local dimming. Gamemode Local dimming worked on firmware 1112 after the newer updates it is getting worse.

Dear Samsung,
There is no local dimming working on game-mode because of your lowest inputlag which leads to 0 contrast with washed-out image.
Did we paid premium amount for a gaming setup to see a terrible blooming/light bleeding on Game-mode?
With Game-MotionPlus triggers slightly average local dimming also it is creating artifacts or stutter. everywhere on online forums people are complaining about this blooming/light bleeding on Game-mode and no body likes Game-MotionPlus.
So Pls give us options to select two game-modes
for ex:
Game-mode1 : lowest inputlag/ ineffective local dimming (which is already there)
Game-mode2 : better local dimming/ rich contrast with slightly higher inputlag because of the processing to apply. (which gives better experience overall like sony TVs)
We don't need your Game-MotionPlus and undefeatable DTM digital tone mapping even HGIG engaged. We need more accurate details processed by the console not by the TV.
If you take care of the gaming community we'll keep upgrading with samsungs newer model otherwise definitely you'll loose entire gaming community permanently.
Note: Attached video proof provided by professional calibrator Vincent. Also Take a look on your own samsung forums and AVSforums that how many gaming users are complaining about washed-out image and fake HGIG when game-mode enabled.

@AZGreg i don't pretend like i know everything just sharing my experience and my little knowledge.
Go to rtings.com and see recommended settings for gaming on 2017-2018 models once they recommend to turn off all picture enhancement options. After so many complaints about washed-out picture in game-mode on their comment section on both YouTube and website now they don't recommend to turn off anything under game-mode on 2019-2020 models. rtings itself learned by their mistakes and giving whatever is necessary.
Q95t is my 12th TV i have seen so many picture settings on different brands like sony/lg/tcl/samsung up to my experience what i learned is don't change game-mode default settings. So far q95t has the ultimate picture quality like other presets in game-mode, no other brand never did this before. That is the reason still I'm keeping this. When i saw this dimming bug i request return and bought lg 65cx then i realized q95t is still better on gaming so decided to keep it.

Come on guys don't be rude. Isf calibrations are only meant for BT.709 gamut which is primarily used in films and broadcasting industries. for gaming you have to keep DCI-P3 color space which looks oversaturated on non gaming content so you don't put some calibration disc under game-mode to calibrate it. My advice is always keep game-mode untouched. Just turn off GMP that's all

All default looks stunning what all game creators meant to be. Even black equalizer 2 looks amazing it also helps pop up brighter areas and adding some blacks to all colors. Not only touches the darker area

First of all those who says that " my tv is calibrated " it is only for outside game-mode you can't adjust white balance on game-mode to calibrate.
Games are created in 100% DCI-P3 which means you should select the most expanded color space on your TV to see all colors.
And definitely you have to keep contrast enhancer high hence game-mode outputs unprocessed image looks dull/dim, keeping contrast enhancer HIGH gives a hand to highlight details like processed picture
For HDR, DCI-P3 inside the container of BT2020 color gamut which is the most expanded color space.
Apart from all, samsungs native color space is higher than any other color space you have it on your tv so it can easily reproduce whatever the input is even if it is BT2020. That is the reason samsung forces native on both sdr and hdr game-mode.

There is no way to calibrate game-mode because 100/120 points white balance will never visible under game-mode picture settings.

I would say you're seeing a better black which is equivalent to the movie mode because you kept gamma-3 and shadow detail-3 you should have keep both of these settings to default before taking photos for comparisons between game-mode local dimming vs outside game-mode.
And you definitely going to miss more details by keeping gamma and Shadow details low. More than 25 color is really oversaturated. I think default game-mode settings looks absolutely fine.
If you need a cleaner natural look on game-mode just you have to turn
contrast enhancer OFF,
color space to Auto,
Color tone to warm 2.
This is exactly what the game meant to be.
For me all default settings on game-mode looks excellent in my q95t

Hopefully samsung should tested the new firmware with upcoming consoles for a better handshake between devices. I think this is something related to Nvidia adapter with samsung TV.

Yes you're correct first games should compatible with HGIG reader to read the screen data in the system (ex:ps4 pro adjust HDR). HDTVtest clearly said on last of us 2 hdr review
