I've only tested it once but lips sync issues are still present with the Xbox one X connected directly to the C9 with Dolby Atmos On. With Dolby Atmos OFF in the same configuration works fine. eARC has made no change in that regard but because I keep reading here that everyone says it's fine now I will test again. Hi  SuissoNaBisso might be able to help you. I have the Nvidia Shield Pro 2019 and the Q90R soundbar. I will tell you first I have my Nvidia Shield plugged directly into the Q90R soundbar so I can get full Dolby Atmos & DTS-x uncompressed. I also use Plex and have a Plex pass so full features are available on and off my home newwork. So my set up is LG C9 with the Apple TV 4K and Xbox One X plugged directly in to the tv, Q90R via ARC and the shield plugged in the bar for full features on the Shield. It's really not that deep! I don't think anybody is feeling suicidal over the Q90r Sound bar! The fact of the matter is buying this bar one pays premium prices so one would expect a premium service. The Sony counterpart got updated to Earc in a matter of months of the technical being available but with Samsung a part of there selling pitch was the Q90r will be updated in a firmware update. So any potential customer looking for a Earc sound bar would consider this bar and maybe buy it with the expectation Earc is coming. So then to be given the run around for the best part of a year is not acceptable and is not good business ethics! So if a community of customers want to air there views and opinions shouldn't be a problem we all did spend our hard earned money. I just viewed the klipsch 54. On paper it's not up to the level, it doesn't have true DTS-x, it has DTS Virtual:X! Not quite DTS-x. It also does not have satellite speakers. That it's a additional purchase. I think I'll go the way of the LG! ... View more

The solution to all our eARC problems have Just arrived from LG in the form of the new LG SN11 RG 7.1.4 Sound bar which supports Dolby Atmos and DTS-X over eARC. It has Two satellite speakers with up firing drivers which was missing from the previous iteration and all the trimming the Samsung Q90r has as well as Meridian audio technology. I think after being lied to for almost a year my Samsung with regards to this elusive eARC update, a company that obviously do not respect or value there customers, I think I'm going to sell my Q90r Sound bar and upgrade to the LG version to pair with my LG C9 TV. Just a quick update about the issues with my Xbox one X not playing Dolby Atmos on netflix  but working on c9 netflix app and Apple TV netflix app. After speaking to Microsoft Xbox department it was a issue with my Dolby Access app preventing it working. I had to uninstall re download it and set it up again for headphones and home theater. Now it works fine but still with the major lip sync issues. Maybe that's why the Xbox has lip sync issues because of via the Dolby Access app, who knows ! ... View more

Hello yes I know Dolby vision has nothing to do with audio but when I play the Irishman for example via the Xbox one X it will not allow This content to play or any other title with Dolby vision and Atmos but if I play a title with either for example Dark or Nightflyers it plays no problem. On the Apple TV same setup all the above works flawlessly with no issues. So I ask is the Xbox one X Dolby Atmos lossless and the Apple TV 4k not? Because I presumed that the Xbox One X is trying to play lossless Atmos along side the Dolby vision which results in the error because without eARC the bandwidth of arc is not capable of transmitting Dolby vision and Atmos lossless together. I have my c9 on Earc pass through so is my C9 telling my Xbox yes you can pass lossless but the sound bar can't accept so much bandwidth all at once. This is all a title guess but I'm trying to work out why would all the above not work on the Xbox but fully work on the Apple TV. Hi Zac I've now upgraded to the LG C9 Oled and have paired it with my Q90R sound bar. I plugged my Apple TV 4K and Xbox one x directly to the C9. I done as you said turned on eARC and set it to pass through. The Apple TV works perfect, no lip sync issues nothing, works a dream but the Xbox has major lip sync issues! And the Netflix app  on the Xbox can't pass Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision at the same time. Errors code tvq-100 (5.6.0) appears. I followed the steps to resolve this but nothing works. It's obviously bandwidth issues because I can play Dolby Atmos content without Dolby vision and vice versa but on all content lip sync is very bad. I've been reading the comments since I last posted and have now realised Samsung has conned us all because it would seem there is no update coming to the q90r soundbars as well as the TV. I'm really considering to sell the soundbar and change to the Sony earc version if I can't get the Xbox to work properly. Do you have any ideas. ... View more

Hi, your comments are a great help to me because I intend to upgrade from the LG C6 to the LG C9 to pair with my Q90R Soundbar. Can I ask you a couple questions... Obviously you have your soundbar connected via arc but is it connected via hdmi cable 2.1 (Belkin 2.1), and is your Apple TV connected to the bar or direct to the C9. If so in the C9 settings when you try to turn on Earc does it stay on or automatically switch back off.
