@Terazor81 , not very well at all. An engineer was supposed to come out and look at the tv on Saturday, so after taking the time off work and heading back home, I receive a call from the engineer to state that as this is known issue with the TV and that as he has tried on many occasion to fix this issue with no joy, there would be no point in him coming out to attempt to fix it . When I said I would call Samsung on Monday to see how I can then proceed, the engineer was adamant that I should wait a week to speak to Samsung so he can complete his report which I found a bit odd. Anyway, I today spoke to Samsung as I was not happy with the outcome, and they have received the engineer's report which states that the TV is "working to spec". After escalating this to another internal department in Samsung, they are saying that their final stance is that as the tv is working to specification, and I am not entitled to replacement/fix or refund because " the sound is due to thermal expansion and contraction and this is a normal characteristic" . My reply to this was "how can you state that this is a normal characteristic, without even having an engineer coming out to inspect the TV " to which the guy replied this is a fair point but still could not offer a resolution as the engineer is not willing to come out and inspect the TV .

So after 10 months of trying to put up with the clicking noise, I decided to do something about it and call Samsung technical support. After describing the issue I was greeted with a response telling me that this is a "known feature" of the TV and was not a fault that can be covered by the warranty. I then responded by saying if that's the case, then the TV was not fit for purpose, they then agreed to send an engineer our next week. So fingers crossed he can fix it or replace it .
